Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I receive a refund for an order?

Usually, yes—if the package hasn’t left Utah. However, if it has already left Utah or is en route to Argentina, then no refund is possible.

2. What are the payment options?

You can pay via Venmo, Zelle, wire transfer, check, cash, or card (+Taxes 8,25%).

3. What is the process for shipping a package?

Start by placing your order on our website and filling out the form. Then, prepare your items (removing tags and packaging), place them in a bag, and include the completed Shipping Label inside. You can either drop the package off at our Orem office or mail it to the same address. We’ll then weigh your package and let you know the total cost.

4. What items are not allowed?

Electronics (Laptops, Cellphones, consolas) are not allowed unless previously approved. Homemade food, open food packages, or food in Ziploc bags are not allowed. Over-the-counter medications are also not permitted. You may not ship more than three duplicate containers of the same medicine, vitamin, or dietary supplement.

5. What can I send?

You can send clothing, shoes, books, notebooks, candy, and gifts—as long as they are unlabeled and unpackaged.

6. How many bags can I send?

We ask that you send just one bag per missionary to prevent any risk of loss.

7. Do I have to print the "Package Slip" form?

Yes, but you can also create your own packing list as long as it includes the missionary’s full name, the mission name, a description of the items, and the sender’s full name and phone number.

8. What size and type of bag should I use?

You can use any size bag, as long as all your items fit inside. Please use only one bag.

9. Should I remove tags when sending clothes or shoes?

Yes, all items must be sent without tags or packaging.

10. I want to add a few more items to my order. What should I do?

If they fit in the same bag, you can add them. Just send a text to 801-762-7212 to let us know you're adding more weight to your original order.

11. Where are the packages delivered?

Packages are delivered to the Mission Office in Argentina, where secretaries or assistants will give them to your missionary.

12. Is there a way to track the package?

Once we deliver the package to the Mission Office, we’ll send you a text with the delivery date. You should then notify your missionary so they can ask the Mission Office about it.

13. Can I send electronics?

Not, but please inquire first, as prices may vary.

14. Can I send a camera?

Yes, but it must be sent without its packaging.

15. Can I send vitamins?

Yes, as long as they are in their original sealed container. You may not ship more than three duplicate containers of the same medicine, vitamin, or dietary supplement.

16. Do I have to deliver the package to the company’s address?

Yes, you can drop it off 24/7 at our office lobby's Box Drop-Off, coordinate with us via text, or send it by mail.

17. What if I live outside Utah County?

You can mail your package to us via USPS, FedEx, UPS, or another service. You may also have a family member or friend drop it off.

18. What’s the situation with Customs in Argentina?

Argentine Customs can be unpredictable. If your package is held, we will notify you, but unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds in those cases.

19. How long does it take for the package to arrive at the mission offices?

The calculation should be made approximately one week after the travel date. For the four missions to Buenos Aires, this time is reduced by half.

20. Where does "The Goat Shipments" responsibility end with the delivery of the package in Argentina?

We can only be responsible for the package until it reaches the Mission Offices. Our experience over the years tells us that packages can get lost or forgotten in offices, chapels, or cars while people are trying to deliver them. Therefore, our responsibility ends once the package arrives at the Mission Offices.

21. What is the deadline for dropping off packages at The Goat Shipments offices??

The deadline is always 2 days before the travel date.

22. For which missions in Argentina can you provide a package delivery service?

Our company can deliver packages to the 14 missions in Argentina. These missions are: Buenos Aires North, Buenos Aires South, Buenos Aires East, Buenos Aires West, Bahía Blanca, Córdoba, Mendoza, Neuquén, Resistencia, Rosario, Santa Fe, Tucumán, and Comodoro Rivadavia.

23. What items would be recommended to send to a missionary?

It is advisable to send items that your missionary needs; not everyone requires the same things. Generally, people send clothing and footwear suited to the climate of the mission area. Mementos from friends, family, and neighbors—such as letters, photos, and keepsakes—are also sent, along with treats the missionary enjoys. In some cases, specific prescription medications, contact lenses, and necessary vitamins or protein supplements are included.
